Today was the final day of Ravens training camp, and it was a fairly laid back day with minimal contact.  It’s typical for the last practice leading into game day, which in this case takes place vs. the Cowboys on Saturday night.

-Michael Campanaro made a case to silence the doubters who don’t think he will make the final roster, putting in a strong day of practice and making several catches against the first team defense.  Camp is already a polished route runner, which is atypical for a rookie wide receiver.  Now it’s up to him to carry over this strong performance into the remaining preseason games so that he can sew up a roster spot.

More from Ravens News

-Delonte Thompson finally held on to the ball and didn’t have any drops, but LaQuan Williams did.  We haven’t talked about Williams much to this point because he hasn’t done anything to earn a spot on this squad, unfortunately.

-Joe Flacco looks a little more comfortable with each passing practice in regards to footwork and timing.  He is still a bit inconsistent when throwing the ball, but there is obvious improvement taking place.

-Terrence Brooks keeps looking better and better, and today he even tipped an interception to himself.  Also recording an interception were Tramain Jacobs, Marrio Norman, and Jimmy Smith.

-Scoring touchdowns today were Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken, and Dennis Pitta.  Smith scored against (who else?) Chykie Brown, spinning him around like a top.

Out of practice: Owen Daniels (rest), Lardarius Webb (back), Asa Jackson (ankle), Will Rackley (head).

The Ravens have a walk through Friday before preseason game 2 against the Cowboys, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Dallas.
