Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh conducted his Monday press conference in the typical non-revealing fashion, but there were a couple of interesting tidbits that were brought up.  One of which relates to the impending NFL and NFLPA agreement on the revision of the league’s drug policy.

Speculation has run rampant that some players currently serving suspensions under the old policy might see their time served reduced or eliminated altogether, including Ravens safety Will Hill, who is currently serving a six game suspension. Harbaugh was predictably vague when asked if the Ravens knew of a possible change to Hill’s suspension.

The speculation continues, however, that Hill might return to the field sooner rather than later.

With the Ravens playing the Cleveland Browns this coming Sunday, you know that the media was bound to ask some Johnny Manziel questions.  And they didn’t disappoint.  And John Harbaugh had the perfect response when asked if the Ravens expected to see Manziel take the field this coming weekend.

There is guardedly optimistic news regarding the Raven’s injured cornerbacks as well.  Speculation has run rampant that Lardarius Webb would return against the Browns, and Harbaugh seems positive about his chances, as he does with Asa Jackson’s as well.

So there you have it.  After Johnny Manziel took a whopping two snaps against the Saints that generated what was essentially zero offensive spark, we may just see him next Sunday as well.  The ol’ quarterback switcheroo is a trick that has failed time and time again (just ask Rex Ryan), but Mike Pettine seems likely to try it again.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Lardarius Webb returns.  The team hasn’t made any roster moves at the corner position, so they must be confident that either he or Jackson will be fine come Sunday.  And even though Hill is serving his third drug related NFL suspension, it seems very likely that he see at least a small reduction in the length of his current one once a deal is finally finished.
