Welcome to Lunchtime Links, where we round up all the latest Ravens news from around the web for your convenient consumption.  Today we look ahead to the Ravens first road game of the season with 5 questions for what might be a big test for the team, debate who the number one receiver is, and introduce the latest member of the practice squad.

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns: big test on the road?

The Ravens looked good in a decisive win over the Steelers at home on Thursday night, and have traditionally dominated the Browns.  But Cleveland is a tough place to play, and the Browns are coming off a huge road win against the mighty Saints last Sunday.  Plus, Brian Hoyer is now 4-1 as the Brown’s starting quarterback dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Clifton Brown as CSN Baltimore has five questions for the Ravens as they head into another divisional matchup. This team wasn’t very good on the road last season (2-6), and they are traveling into hostile territory.  This isn’t as much a make or break game as last week, but the team that comes out victorious here will have a leg up in the fight to keep pace with the Bengals for the division crown.

Ravens sign CB Lou Young to the practice squad

The Ravens had an open spot on their practice squad after the Kansas City Chiefs swooped in and signed cornerback Jamell Fleming away last week.  On Monday they filled that spot, signing undrafted rookie cornerback Lou Young.  Young was cut by the Broncos after signing with them following the draft.

Young played his four year college career at Georgia Tech, starting 13 games as a senior and recording 40 tackles and two interceptions.  He had five tackles and one sack in preseason action with the Broncos, and gives the Ravens a little bit of added depth at a position they are somewhat shallow in.

Who is the Raven’s number one wide receiver?

We pointed out the other day that Steve Smith is currently leading the Ravens in receiving (by a long shot) and appears to be Joe Flacco’s favorite target so far.  But things can and most likely will change as the season goes on.  Now the Raven’s official site is asking the question with a poll for readers to vote on, along with a few other questions.  We’ll be interested to see what the fans think come Thursday, when the results are revealed.
