The Ravens traveled to the warm and sunny confines of Miami on Sunday, needing a win pretty desperately.  It was their second straight week facing one of the many 7-5 AFC teams vying for a playoff spot against a team that was desperately trying to hold on to their current seeding.

And as they have made a habit of doing in recent weeks, the Ravens picked up a nice win despite coming in as road underdogs. Things started off a bit precariously when the offense failed to convert a third down for the first several possessions and the defense allowed the Phins to go up 10-0 early.

Then the team suddenly sparked to life on both sides of the ball and never looked back.  Joe Flacco was excellent, all three running backs had a good day, Steve Smith came back to life, and the pass rush was fearsome and relentless.  The Ravens’ rebound from last week’s loss to the Chargers has them back in the thick of the playoff hunt.

As we do each week, we have assigned letter grades to each unit based on their performance.  While we oftentimes focus on the final stats, it’s usually best to look at the big picture when you want to get the whole story.  Here are my Baltimore Ravens grades for week 14.
