Welcome to the Daily Caw, where we round up all the latest Ravens news from around the web.  Today we take a look at a couple of new offensive coordinator candidates who have popped up in Adam Gase and Doug Marrone, why the new coach will mix their system with what Joe Flacco wants to do, and look at the state of the wide receiver corps.

Adam Gase Interviews With Ravens

Gase was a hot head coaching candidate last year and this year, but his prospects went south when John Elway decided to fire John Fox.  Still a young and respected offensive mind, Gase could use a good year in Baltimore to propel him back into the head coaching hunt next year.

Doug Marrone a Possibility as Well?

Marrone opted out of his contract with the Bills, and watched his market tank as a result.  He is a sound offensive mind as well, though his (rumored) harsh personality may not be a great fit.

New Coordinator Must Mix Systems With Joe Flacco

In this case, Gase could be a good fit because he is used to working with a quarterback like Peyton Manning, who obviously had a lot of say in their offense.  Flacco is a much different guy with different strengths, so this makes a lot of sense.

Why Ravens Must Draft Alvin Dupree

Jason Marcum makes his case for the outside linebacker.  Though the position is a strength for the Ravens, they are set to lose Pernell McPhee and are getting older at the position otherwise.  I like this pick better than Mel Kiper’s, that’s for sure.

State of Ravens Wide Receiver Corps

If the Ravens retain Torrey Smith, they don’t necessarily have to go out and get anybody else, but I still think they should.  The team has a lot of depth but they don’t have that “guy” yet, one who can really be an X-factor in the offense.
