The Ravens travel to Indianapolis tonight to play their second preseason game. Here are three story lines to watch against the Colts:

Ravens vs. Colts would be an exciting regular season game. The quarterback battle would be phenomenal against Joe Flacco and Andrew Luck. Two teams with high hopes equals an entertaining showdown. This is the preseason however. The result doesn’t matter and the game will feature more backups than starters.

This game can still be entertaining. We have to remember that the preseason matters. It’s not an easy chorus to repeat but it is one that must be heard. The Ravens have a chance to learn something about their 90 man roster in every game.

Think of the 90 man roster like a giant Suduko puzzle. In Suduko every row, column and box must contain the numbers 1-9. No number may ever be in the same row, column or box twice. That’s kind of like getting a 90 man roster shrunk down to a 75 man roster and finally a 53 man roster.

Each player reveals clues about how they fit (or don’t fit) into the puzzle. The depth chart is then filled in based on those clues. The difference between a Sudoku puzzle and a depth chart is that there is more than one answer. However, when the coaching staff is done making the depth chart, they must know that this is the only acceptable version of it. With that in mind, here are three story lines for your Ravens game day.
