Are you a betting man? Here is the scoop on the Ravens battle against the Bills

According to the experts at VegasInsiders.com the Baltimore Ravens enter their first regular season match up as 3 point favorites over the Buffalo Bills. The three points is the obligatory spread for the home team for any close match up. The Ravens and Bills both look to rebound early in the season after disappointing seasons last year.

Last season, Baltimore finished with a 3-5 home record as injuries derailed their season. Steve Smith, Joe Flacco, Dennis Pitta, and Terrell Suggs all ended the season on IR. The Bills finished the 2015 season with the same record, 3-5, for their road games. The made several changes to get over the hump and improve on their 8-8 season.

The spread has not moved one way or the other which means people are betting right down the middle. This is a hard game to pick because the teams are evenly matched, but take the Ravens at -3. Injuries and suspensions ravaged the Bills depth chart prior to the regular season’s beginning. Elvis Dumervil announced that he will not play this week for the Ravens, but the roster has some young talent who can step up.

The over/under line, like the spread, remained mostly unchanged after opening. The number sits at 44 which seems right on the money. It is hard to feel good with either side here, but I have the sneaky feeling that points will be on the board as both teams have something to prove. Take the over because the Ravens averaged almost 20 points per game at home even with a myriad of injuries. Plus, most of the Bills injuries are on the defensive side of the ball.
