The Baltimore Ravens must overcome adversity against the New York Giants and the New York Jets

Marty Mornhinweg is going to be the new play-caller. He just watched Marc Trestman get fired for neglecting the run game, and having an under performing offense. The Ravens problems probably won’t just vanish into thin air. Secondly, Mornhinweg’s offense may take time to get rolling. How much difference can we really expect in one week? Trestman was far from the Ravens only problem and injuries are adding to the Ravens list of things going wrong.

The Ravens will most likely be without Rick Wagner and Marshall Yanda on Sunday. If Ronnie Stanley misses his third straight game, the Ravens will be down three starters on the offensive line. When you throw in Steve Smith’s  probable absence, it’s a tough position Marty Mornhinweg is in. The Ravens new offensive coordinator is really hand cuffed by injuries. If Mike Wallace can’t play with his rib injury, it all but spells doomsday for the offense.

The Ravens are also going against a Giants team that is just as desperate as they are. The Giants have lost three straight games. When this game is over, the loser will be in a very bad place. When this game is over, one of these teams will be in very desperate times. The Ravens need to be hungry for a win, because we know the Giants will be.

There are times where a football team has to stand up to their adversity and find a way to win. If the Ravens win this game, it won’t be because of X’s and O’s. It will be because they dug down deep and found a way to win.

This game is about stopping the bleeding. It’s a big moment for the Ravens. Ravens football has always been about toughness. Baltimore’s beloved football team  has never made it easy. They have always stepped up in the biggest moments though. This is one of those big moments.

The Ravens have two battles in East Rutherford, New Jersey. They are playing beatable teams. This is a chance to get back on track. 5-2 heading into the bye is right on schedule. The Ravens need these wins. They have to conquer their demons to get these wins. John Harbaugh and his team must step up to this moment.

When the cards are stacked against them, nothing is going right and they need a win badly, will the Baltimore Ravens step up to the occasion? Perhaps they will. When this game kicks off on Sunday, we will learn a lot about the toughness and heart of the purple and black.
