The John Harbaugh era has been incredible, but with the glory there has been struggles. This is not the first time that the Ravens coach has been asked to turn the Ravens around:

The Baltimore Ravens had such a good run from 2008-2012, that it is almost easy to forget about the incredible lows the team had to overcome. John Harbaugh led the Ravens to five straight playoff appearances. In each playoff run the Ravens won at least one game. After making it to the AFC Championship three times, the Ravens finally won it all in the 2012 season. That was the golden age of Ravens football, but there were some depressingly dark days.

The 2013 Ravens were an 8-8 mess. The 2015 Ravens were a dumpster fire with extra kerosene. Now that the 2016 Ravens are struggling, one has to wonder if Harbaugh can fix this team. If It weren’t for the 2014 season where the Ravens beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs, the Ravens would have gone three straight seasons playing painfully mediocre football. This four game losing streak of this years Ravens is the worst stretch in Harbaugh’s tenure.

Hope may not be lost, but the light at the end of the tunnel is vague. Maybe it’s just more darkness hidden behind our collective wishful thinking. Or perhaps the light is at the end of the tunnel, but the end of the tunnel is the offseason. Believing in the Ravens is always more fun than sulking all the way through the bye week. In that spirit, let’s look at three times when the Harbaugh led Ravens turned it around.
