Can the patched together secondary hold it’s own against a good offense?

The Raven’s secondary has been in shambles throughout the preseason, losing player after player to injury.  Thankfully we have seen a number of players step up lately.  Terrence Brooks has been getting more snaps with the first and second team at safety and corner, along with the projected starter at free safety, Darian Stewart.  Dominique Franks has been showing improvement as well, picking up an interception and deflecting three passes in Wednesday’s practice.

At this point we can only hope for the best in regards to Lardarius Webb.  We can also only hope that those who are left standing in the secondary at this time remain healthy for a couple more weeks.  Meanwhile, the Cowboys offense should provide a good litmus test for those who are left.  This is a solid unit with some big playmakers in Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, Romo, and DeMarco Murray.  We will be watching to see how Jimmy Smith fares when lined up against Bryant, in particular.
