Key to Victory #5: Continue Red Zone Dominance

The Ravens have been lights out in the red zone this year while only giving up 15 points per game.  They are number one in the NFL in opponent red zone scores per game, giving up a mere 0.8 touchdowns per game inside the 20’s for a success rate of 27.27%.  To give you an idea of how good that is, the second best team is the Texans, who stand at 42.86%.

Giving up nothing but field goals to the Colt’s prolific offense would be a huge win for the Ravens.  The Colts currently lead the NFL in points per game with 34.0, though that number has been propped up by blowouts against the hapless Jags and Titans the last two weeks.

The Colts are also the best team in the NFL in red zone scores per game with 3.2 with a 65% success rate.  It’s a classic example of unstoppable force meeting immovable object, and it should be a fun battle to watch.
