Get Pressure on Phillip Rivers

Rivers has been getting pretty poor protection from the Chargers’ offensive line, getting sacked 19 times total.  The Chargers rank near the bottom of the NFL is pass protection, but Rivers has managed to fight through it and have a pretty good season regardless.

The Ravens, on the other hand, have the NFL’s number two sack leader in Elvis Dumervil and a bevy of pass rushers beside him. Pro Football Focus ranks the Ravens as the number one pass rush unit in the NFL.  If they continue this trend Sunday and continue to play lights out against the run (5th best in the league), the Chargers will have a tough time putting points on the board.
