3. Staying On Schedule

If you can’t run the football, the short passing game becomes too important. But we’ve seen that Marc Trestman’s short passing game is predictable. The offense needs to be able to start and finish with the run game. Constant passing is a way to get off schedule and behind the chains.

Balance is required. The run game makes life easier for the entire offense. When you get 20 yards or more on a run play, it is demoralizing to your opponent. When you keep getting chunks of yards on the ground, it tires the defense out. Set the tone by barreling over linebackers and coming right back at them.

The Ravens run game is the key. They have a great QB but this team was built to run the football first. The run game could make the Ravens unstoppable.
