Left Guard:

1. John Urschel: The most likely replacement to Kelechi Osemele, is a player that is used to filling in for him. Urschel is the Ravens mathematical genius who happens to be a good football player. Urschel gives the Ravens a strong and sturdy guard. He is a phenomenal run blocker and a solid pass protector. The Ravens did not want to lose Osemele, but they didn’t lose sleep when the Oakland Raiders showed him the money. They knew Urschel was a perfect fit.

Urschel has started 10 games in his two years in the NFL. He started 7 games last season and three in 2014. When the Ravens lost Ben Grubbs in 2011, they replaced him with Osemele. Before he was a high-profile guard, he was a player from Iowa State most of us never had heard of. Don’t be surprised when Urschel proves that he is a worthy replacement. The Ravens have been through this before.

2. Alex Lewis: Lewis is a 6’6″ 312 pound offensive lineman from Nebraska. As a Cornhusker, he was the left tackle. In the NFL, Lewis projects more as a guard. Lewis is a powerful run blocker with an above average ability to get to the second level. With a little development, Lewis could be a really solid player for the Ravens. He has time to develop, barring injuries on the offensive line.
