The Secondary

The Ravens’ secondary has been their weakest unit in recent memory. With the addition of veteran safety Eric Weddle, they have brought in a leader who can hopefully get them back on track. Lardarius Webb is the other obvious starter at safety.

Kendrick Lewis is also pretty safe to make the team. That leaves Terrence Brooks and Matt Elam to compete for a roster spot. The Ravens are unlikely to keep four safeties on their roster into the regular season.

In the cornerback position, the Ravens added veteran Jerraud Powers and drafted Tavon Young. Young had a strong first outing, and hopes to continue to make a case that he should be the nickel corner over Powers. If Young plays, watch these two fight over a starting spot in this game. If Young misses the game, Powers has a chance to make some plays and show the rookie why he deserves the starting spot.
