Baltimore Ravens 1-0

The Buffalo Bills came to face the Baltimore Ravens to begin their march to the playoffs, but they went home short of victory.

The Ravens defense stepped up in a big way containing the Bills to only seven points. Pro Bowl running Back LeSean McCoy only managed 70 yards from scrimmage. McCoy scored the Bills only touchdown, but he never made a difference in the game.

Mike Wallace scored the go ahead touchdown on a 66-yard pass from quarterback Joe Flacco. They connected three times for 91 yards. Maybe Flacco’s cannon will revive Wallace’s failing career. The thirty-year-old receiver is playing on his third team in three years. This game marks the most receiving yards in a game since December 2014.

The Ravens now travel to Cleveland in what should be an easy win. Josh McCown becomes the starting quarterback with Griffin’s injury. McCown threw for 669 yards and three touchdowns against the Ravens last year in two starts. His only win as a starter came in Baltimore during an overtime game during week 5.

If the Ravens win, they hold on to the early division lead. There is still a lot of football to play, but it is good to be on top no matter what part of the season we’re in.
