If you know “Mile High Miracle” is the best play ever

If you are a Ravens fan, you have to agree that the Mile High Miracle is the best play that you have ever seen.

Down 35 to 28 in the AFC Divisional playoff round, Joe Flacco stepped up and threw a 70 yard bomb to Jacoby Jones. The rainbow pass barley reached over the Broncos secondary and into the hands of Jones. The touchdown forced overtime and the Ravens ultimately went on to win the game.

This play was the defining moment of the Ravens 2012 playoff run and in the history of the franchise.  Going into the game, the Ravens were clear underdogs. The Denver Broncos were the favorite to win the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning. The Ravens were riding on the underdog mentality, knowing they would have to win on the road to get to the Super Bowl. After the play, you knew that there was destiny in the air. Ray Lewis’s final run had to end in New Orleans with a second Super Bowl ring.
