2. Chemistry With Flacco Is A Big Deal:

There is no doubt that having chemistry with Flacco is the trademark of every successful Ravens target. In the beginning Flacco leaned on Derrick Mason. Mason was his safety blanket at the wide receiver position. One of the reasons Anquan Boldin was so successful, was that Flacco and him had an other worldly connection. Those two players were visibly on the same page. Steve Smith Sr. was a guy that Flacco leaned on a little too much. To Smith Sr.’s credit, it would work even when Flacco forced the football to him.

Dennis Pitta has that kind of connection with Flacco. Flacco and Pitta have been friends since the beginning. It’s just a relationship that works. It was evident in the 2012 playoffs when Flacco looked to Pitta to make a clutch back shoulder reception, late in the game against the Broncos. It’s been evident the whole time.

No tight end on the roster, has what Pitta brings to the table when it comes to the quarterback throwing him the football. It’s just that simple. Flacco loves throwing Pitta the ball and it’s that simple.
