4. Tim Williams, OLB Alabama:

Tim Williams is a really interesting prospect because Alabama defensive players tend to be good in the NFL. In 2015 he had 9.5 sacks and in 2016 he had nine. My only real concern with Williams is that he is a bit lean. Williams is a lightning bolt off the edge though. Williams is essentially running a race on every snap. Whether he is trying to beat the tackle off the edge or sneak inside of him, he relies on his speed and finesse moves to get to the quarterback. Harris and Charlton remind me of Suggs. Williams is stylistically like Elvis Dumervil, yet he has a much more length.

I watch a lot of Alabama football. There is no program more entertaining than the Crimson Tide on an annual basis. I got a chance to see Williams play several times over the past few years. I like what I have seen. When it comes to quickness off the edge, Williams has just about everyone beat.

I think the 16th pick would be a little high for Williams, but he has high upside. This is a boom or bust pick and I’m betting he will be booming in the NFL.
