5 Baltimore Ravens who took a step forward this season
3. Buck Allen:
In 2015 Buck Allen was the player the Ravens leaned on when Justin Forsett went down. That seems like forever ago. In 2016, Allen’s production went away. Months ago we were thinking Terrance West and Kenneth Dixon would be running the show. Then Dixon got hurt, West worked himself out of snaps and here we are.
Allen made it a 1-2 punch
While Alex Collins was the star, Allen was the very important second fiddle this season. It shows you how much the Ravens have gone through at the running back position. Allen ended the season with 591 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. He had 46 receptions for 250 yards and two touchdowns.
Allen did not just take a step forward, he had a reform to form. The running back picture is still cloudy. Dixon will be back and it looks like Collins is primed to be the longtime star of the offense. What Allen accomplished this season was putting himself in good footing moving ahead.
