OT. Oklahoma. Orlando Brown Jr.. 8. player. 57. The Chicago Bears have been one of those teams that has struggled to find answers up front. They need to protect their investment in Mitchell Trubisky and the best way to do that is to draft the biggest and baddest man on the board (and I mean that in a good way). Orlando Brown Jr. is a tough offensive tackle prospect with a Dad who used to play in the National Football League. He has long arms and a massive frame. He has power and he can move his feet. The point is that he is a comfortable bet for the Chicago Bears.
The Bears could have drafted a wide receiver here, but that didn’t go so well for them the last time. Instead of taking another risk at wide receiver like they did with Kevin White, they’re going to add some power to the offensive line. The Bears need to build their franchise brick by brick. The most important piece came last year, their quarterback. A solid left tackle is the next thing to get locked up.
