Marlon Humphrey:

The common theme among all these players who we’ve handed out game balls to has been that they were snubbed of Pro Bowl honors. While the previous three were all travesties in their own right, none were more screwed over than cornerback Marlon Humphrey.

It didn’t take long for the second-year man from the University of Alabama to become a stud in the NFL, and it took him even less time to seize his role as the Ravens top corner. 2018 turned out to be a magical season for the young man, as Humphrey asserted himself as one of the best in the league.

Many quarterbacks refused to throw Humphrey’s way because of the tight, sticky coverage he had on every snap. It didn’t matter how good the wide receiver was you’d try and line up against Marlon Humphrey, the fact of the matter is that it didn’t matter. Simply put, Humphrey was putting his opponents on an island by themselves and no one wanted to test him.

It was this level of play that truly elevated Marlon Humphrey’s status with Baltimore from great to MVP worthy. As a matter of fact, Marlon Humphrey won the Baltimore Ravens team MVP award for his stellar play in 2018. It was evident on the field throughout the year, and it gives us great honor to present the best player on the 2018 Ravens defense, Marlon Humphrey, with our fourth game ball.
