Garrett Bradbury:

…The offensive lineman! Of all the positions NFL teams draft, nothing is more boring and overlooked than taking an offensive lineman in round one. Despite their value and importance, it’s incredibly rare that fans of the sport get excited over drafting a center. However, this move should bring joy to Baltimore Ravens fans for all the right reasons.

In our second scenario, the Ravens pull the trigger on NC State center Garrett Bradbury, a tough as nails guy who would shore up any team’s offensive line. In all actuality, Baltimore is one of the most ideal and realistic scenarios for Bradbury to land, and it makes sense for both parties.

For starters, Bradbury would have next to no competition for the starting gig and would get to play next to future Hall of Fame offensive guard Marshal Yanda. Yanda’s knowledge of the game would only help an already good technician to take his game to the next level. For the Ravens, they get themselves a starting center for the next ten-years with Pro Bowl potential, while he and quarterback Lamar Jackson grow and bond together.

The value of having a great center cannot be overstated. Some of the best team’s in the league, both currently and throughout history, have been supported by the strong play of their centers. If the Ravens plan to compete in 2019, they’d best figure out the offensive line. Adding Garrett Bradbury would be a huge start to their solution.
