Elite wide receivers across the board:

If you thought that the 2020 NFL Draft’s running back class looked good, you’ll be even happier with its wide receiver group. While it may not prove to have the former’s depth, it certainly exceeds it in top-level talent. Sure, the Baltimore Ravens just added some wide receivers via the 2019 NFL Draft, but the 2020 NFL Draft can get the team a true home-run hitter.

More from Ebony Bird

Alabama has an incredible trio of wide receivers in Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III, and Devonta Smith. Quarterback Tua Tagovialoa will be able to spread the field out with ease because of these three. They all are NFL caliber talents, but Jeudy is something truly special. The reigning Biletnifoff Trophy winner set the world on fire in 2018 behind his unreal 19.3 YPR and 14 touchdowns. There was no offensive player in the country more electric than Jeudy last year and he should pick up right where he left off in 2019.

Meanwhile at WRU, Tee Higgins looks to become the next great Clemson Tiger wide receiver. Higgins has remarkable size at 6’4″ 200-lbs. and has demonstrated high-level play that makes him a candidate to be the top wide receiver for the 2020 NFL Draft. The race between Higgins and Jeudy will be one of the funnest stories to monitor throughout the 2020 NFL Draft process.

The Ravens selected Oklahoma’s Marquise “Hollywood” Brown with the 25th overall pick this past April, and they could follow it up in the 2020 NFL Draft by selecting his teammate, CeeDee Lamb. Brown and Lamb were arguably college football’s top wide receiver duo in 2018, and they rotated evenly between who would light-up the defense they played that week. Lamb may not be the track star that Brown is, but he’s still pretty dang fast and is considerably larger at 6’2″ 189-lbs.

Other names to watch: Laviska Shenault (Colorado), Collin Johnson (Texas), Tarik Black, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and Nico Collins (Michigan)
