Isaiah Strumpf’s prediction:

The Ravens offense has a lot to prove against the Dolphins. After all the hype during the off-season and John Harbaugh calling this offense one that the NFL has never seen before, they have a lot to live up to. Lamar Jackson will need to lead the offense down the field consistently and take full advantage of their opportunities in the red zone.

I think the Ravens will win this game rather handily. Miami has a bottom tier defense and the Ravens will be able to do whatever the please on offense. Baltimore simply has too many weapons for the Dolphins to handle in the passing and running game. Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin will both get their first career receiving touchdowns, and Mark Ingram will start his Ravens’ career with a touchdown as well.

On the defensive side of things, the Ravens will wreak havoc on Fitzpatrick and co. The pass rush will be better than expected, especially with the Dolphins trading their best offensive lineman in Laremy Tunsil. The secondary will force three interceptions, with Earl Thomas III, Jimmy Smith, and DeShon Elliot each getting one. Mathew Judon will start his contract year with a monster game, tallying three sacks and rookie Jaylon Ferguson will notch his first career sack as well.

Overall, this a game the Ravens should have no trouble winning if they stick to their guns and control the tempo. This is a situation where the Ravens are by far the superior team and they will put that on display.

Bold Prediction: Lamar Jackson throws for 250+ yards and four total touchdowns.

Score: Ravens 34 – Dolphins 9
