WR – Marquise “Hollywood” Brown

Stock: UP

Welcome to the NFL Hollywood Brown! What an unbelievable debut for the Ravens rookie wide receiver. In my Fantasy preview article last week I did say to sit Ravens wide receiver’s on Sunday. I was wrong, I thought it would be a good idea to wait and see who emerges as Lamar’s go-to guy before throwing a Ravens wide receiver in your lineup.

Well, Hollywood quickly made a statement that he will be very relevant for fantasy this year, posting 28.7 fantasy points, good for 4th best on the week for wide receiver. Showcasing his top-tier speed, Brown’s first two NFL catches were touchdowns and finished the game with a stat-line of 4 catches, 147 yards and 2 touchdowns. It was amazing to see Brown’s burst and play-making ability take over in his just his first game, even after missing so much time in camp.

The only thing Brown didn’t do was play more snaps, he only was on the field for 14 plays. Fantasy owners can’t expect this level of efficiency from Brown every game. That being said, his snap count will certainly go up as the Ravens are still easing Brown back into action. Brown is on the fantasy radar now. He might be on your waiver-wire, go grab him if he is as he will be a popular pick-up this week. He looks the part of a boom-or-bust flex piece going forward. I’ll talk more about Hollywood on the Fantasy Football Friday preview article this week.
