2. Miles Boykin

If Miles Boykin is starting to figure things out at the NFL level, it’s time for him to show it on the field. Boykin has caught four passes in the past two games and he got the Seattle game started with a 50 yard reception. Boykin has nine receptions for 131 yards and two touchdowns this season. It’s been a slow start but when he has made plays, he’s looked great. Boykin is one of those players who is only going to get better with each touch he gets. He came into the season a little raw and not ready to be a star. The Boykin that we’ve seen in the past two weeks is much more like the Boykin who took over the preseason. He’s certainly a player to keep your eye on.

Marquise Brown and Boykin give you a perfect example of the difference between a first round pick and a third round pick. Brown was ready to come in and be a star from the first week of the season. He has 21 receptions for 356 yards and three touchdowns and he’s missed a couple of games. Boykin came into the league with a similar ceiling as Brown. Boykin has a huge frame and above average speed. He compares to a bigger and more physical version of Torrey Smith. Boykin was a work in progress coming out of Notre Dame. The second half of the season could be much more productive for Boykin.

Willie Snead is solid but not great. Seth Roberts is okay and to be honest Chris Moore doesn’t offer much as a wide receiver. The Ravens need a couple of players to elevate their game. Boykin is a player who may have more to give the Baltimore offense. For the most part the receivers have shown you who they are. Boykin however has just started to scratch the surface and the past two games have shown some positive signs. Jackson must get him the football.
