Game Ball number 2: Marlon Humphrey

Marlon Humphrey got his second consecutive game with a fumble recovery for a touchdown and it was a great play. Humphrey has three fumble recoveries, and two interceptions on the season and is one of the best cover corners in the game. Humphrey might just be the defensive player of the year in the NFL. He has shut down just about every top receiver the Ravens have faced this year. He is the Ravens best defensive player and he’s played great even when the rest of the secondary struggled earlier this season.

He had a good game overall but taking a football all the way for a score was his highlight reel contribution. The Patriots were trailing 17-13 in the third quarter. The Ravens had all the momentum until things started going right for New England. The Patriots got the first possession in the second half. The play that Humphrey made put the Ravens up 24-13. It gave Baltimore a little bit more of a cushion and it was something the purple and black really needed at that point of the game.

Humphrey is playing at a Pro Bowl level. He is a player who has a shot at getting the coveted Ebony Bird game ball, each week of the season. Humphrey was a difference maker in this game and he stepped up in this Sunday night spotlight.
