2. Lamar Jackson getting into the record books:

There was one positive of Lamar Jackson being contained by the Bills. It gives Jackson the chance to break Michael Vick‘s record at home in M&T Bank Stadium. Lamar Jackson comes into this game with 1,017 rushing yards this year which is just 22 yards short of the most rushing yards in a season by a quarterback. The Ravens have to root for this to happen for two reasons. First of all, it would be a very cool moment for Jackson on the prime time stage. Secondly, the way the Ravens play football, if Jackson doesn’t get 22 rushing yards or more it won’t be great for them.

Jackson is set to go for the Jets game so there is no doubt that Vick’s record will be broken. Jackson averages 78.2 yards per game on the ground. Jackson has broken the 100 yard mark four times this season and he’s only had five games this season with under 10 rushing attempts. Jackson can get to the record with one play so expect to celebrate it early. When Jackson breaks the record and it is announced at the stadium, chants of “MVP” will be heard on TV’s all over the country.

Jackson can also have another accomplishment of note in this game. If Jackson throws five touchdowns he can tie Vinny Testeverde’s franchise record for the most passing touchdowns in a season. Five passing touchdowns may be a tough ask, yet it’s something Jackson did against the Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins. If Jackson doesn’t get the franchise record for touchdown passes on Thursday night, he can set himself up to get it against the Cleveland Browns.
