Offensive Line: 8

The Ravens didn’t need to add a lot to the offensive line to make it viable. With Ronnie Stanley and Orlando Brown Jr. the Ravens already had the best offensive tackle combination in the NFL. The Ravens have a lot of options on the inside but they have seen strong play from Bradley Bozeman, Matt Skura and Patrick Mekari. The Ravens have both guard spots up for competition. Rookies, Tyre Phillips and Ben Bredeson have a shot to win a starting job. D.J. Fluker provides valuable veteran presence.

When Marshal Yanda retired, I wasn’t overly concerned with the offensive line.  I thought Ben Powers was a suitable replacement. The Ravens added the right kinds of players to the fold and that gives the Ravens options. With plenty of options at all five offensive line positions, the ingredients to a dominant unit are in place. The Ravens have several players who could play multiple positions. Tyre Phillips can play anything but center for the offensive line. Bradley Bozeman started as a center before moving to left guard. The Ravens have built a versatile group of offensive linemen and their bookend tackles are something that most teams envy.

Defensive Line: 9

It’s hard not to be confident in the defensive line. The Ravens have Derek Wolfe, Brandon Williams and Calais Campbell all on the same defensive line. That’s a lot of Pro Bowl talent. The biggest doubt comes from the men behind these three defensive stars.

The Ravens have players like Justin Madubuike, Justin Ellis and Jihad Ward. It should be a good rotation and the Ravens should get a lot more out of the defensive line in the 2020 season. That is where they have made their biggest offseason investment. Campbell and Wolfe will change the entire approach for this defense because they will get interior pass rush that just wasn’t there before.
