Trade for Anthony Harris:

Anthony Harris is a safety for the Minnesota Vikings who was slapped with the franchise tag this offseason following a league-high six interceptions in 2019. He’s a lot like Earl Thomas, just without the drama. Harris has emerged as one of the best cover safeties in all of football over the last two seasons, but the Vikings aren’t quite ready to give Harris the extension he’s due for. It’s no secret, however, that the team has actively been shopping Harris around for any potential trade suitors, and now the Baltimore Ravens are in the market.

Baltimore would be thrilled to replace one ball-hawking safety with another, and perhaps one that won’t get into fights with his teammates. Harris is a leader through play rather than vocally, but his high-level of play makes everyone around him better. He’s flourished playing next to another great safety in Harrison Smith, so he’d fit right into one of the best secondaries in football.

Harris will turn 29-years old in October, but he’s still got a few good seasons left in the tank. The biggest obstacle with acquiring Harris has to do with the financial side of things, as his franchise tag is worth ~$11.4 million. If Baltimore did decide to make a trade for a quality replacement, Anthony Harris is your guy.
