Score:

“Score” is pretty easy, right? It’s how we determine who wins or loses a game, so it’s the most basic of keys to any game, in any sport.

But it is especially critical against the Chiefs — who we’ve already allowed will get some points. Red zone trips must end in touchdowns. Crossing midfield must end in at least three points. Going for it at any part of the field might be fool’s gold as you now could allow the Chiefs to “steal” some possessions, but you can not leave points on the field.

I would look for some pass-run-options out of Lamar Jackson in this game when they get into “plus” territory on the field. Drop back, look for Mark Andrews or Marquise Brown or whoever your main read might be, and if it’s not there immediately, take off and — wait for it — steal a first down or two. There are no bad first downs in this kind of game, especially if it increases the odds of generating points.

There you have it. The Ravens can beat the Chiefs on Monday night if they can smash, steal and score.
