Chris Schisler:

The Baltimore Ravens are the best team in football. They have the most balanced roster. They don’t just have talent on offense, they also have a fairly loaded defense. Any Reid may be the best coach in the NFL, but with the help of Don Martindale and Greg Roman John Harbaugh may just have the perfect coaching staff in Baltimore. The Ravens are a well constructed team with identity, heart and an overload of talent. The same exact thing can be said about the Kansas City Chiefs. That’s what makes this game special. For everything great that the Ravens have going for them the Chiefs have something going for them. The Chiefs have nothing to prove. They are the world champions. The Ravens are a team who folded under the  playoff pressure last year in a big game with plenty of build up. The Ravens can’t redeem themselves but they can show that this is a different team and a new year. The Ravens have something to prove and that’s ultimately why they will get the win.

Baltimore Ravens have grown a lot since their last battle with Chiefs. light. Related Story

That’s the emotional and psychological element of this game, which is a bigger deal than most people probably think it is. Let’s get into the X’s and the O’s of it all. The Ravens offense is well suited against the Kansas City Chiefs. This should be a chance for the Baltimore run game to ramp up production. If the Ravens can run the ball well and Lamar Jackson continues to be such an efficient and prolific passer, the Ravens have a chance to win this game.

The key is to not only to have Jackson’s offense control the time of possesion, it’s also to give the offense the most chances. One thing the Ravens do well is taking the football away from their opponent. The Ravens have created five turnovers in two games. If the Ravens can force two turnovers in this game that’s a huge avenue they can use to get the win. It could be a Pat Mahomes interception or Patrick Queen forcing a fumble on Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Baltimore has to do whatever it takes to keep their turnover momentum rocking in the third week of the season. I think the Ravens defense can get just enough stops to win this game, and just enough turnovers to control it. Give me the Ravens run game and their defense to overpower the Chiefs, while Jackson puts on a show. I’ve been saying this will be a 31-28 kind of game all week, however I’m feeling bold today.

Bold Prediction: Patrick Queen has another game with a sack and a turnover.

Bold prediction: Ravens win 41-28
