1. The Ravens could target Daxton Hill

This is probably the most realistic and appealing Ravens target on this list. Michigan’s Daxton Hill is a versatile, well-rounded safety prospect who took his game to another level under Macdonald in 2021.

If the Ravens were to draft Hill, he wouldn’t only be reunited with his college coordinator. The 21-year-old would also take part in a bit of a family reunion as his brother is Justice Hill.

The younger Hill played three years at Michigan receiving significant playing time in all three seasons. A former five-star recruit, Hill chose to attend Michigan over offers from Alabama and other schools, and it probably turned out to be the right choice.

Hill was a do-it-all chess piece in Michigan’s defense playing everywhere from single-high safety to box safety to sub linebacker to slot corner. That versatility should go a long way in Macdonald’s defense.

Hill would give the Ravens something they don’t currently have — a rangy cover safety who can play that single-high free safety role.

DeShon Elliott is a good player, but with the oft-injured former sixth-rounder set to hit free agency, the Ravens might look to upgrade in the form of a player whose skill set better complements Chuck Clark.

Hill could be that player, and if the Ravens can manage to land him with pick No. 45 in the second round, they might just come away with a day-one starter in their secondary.

His experience with Mike Macdonald just makes this even more of a slam-dunk pick.
