The regular season kept going on Sunday, Sept. 17 with the first divisional matchup in the Baltimore Ravens schedule for the 2023 year in a clash against reigning AFC North champs the Cincinnati Bengals.
Baltimore (1-0) entered the day aiming at beating their rivals putting Cincinnati (0-1) two games behind the Flock in the standings and getting a head start at Paycor Stadium of all places.
The problem, of course, was that the Ravens have been forced to navigate not one, not two, not four, not six... but an endless string of injuries through the past week after losing RB1 J.K. Dobbins for the season, only having TE Mark Andrews available for Week 2, and missing many starters at all positions.
It's been so bad, in fact, that the Ravens might even think about signing an offensive lineman recently cut by the Bengals. Just imagine!
If you couldn't follow the Week 2 game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals we've got you covered with a deliciously curated set of content that popped up as the game progressed.
And hey, it's not that the Ravens didn't beat the Bengals to put two games of distance between both franchises two weeks into the season... Just saying!

Justice Hill gets the start at running back. Seems like Todd Monken likes the speed and versatility of Hill over the hammer that is Gus Edwards.

Justin Tucker is good from 40 yards, and the Ravens go into halftime leading 13-10. Should be up by more, though.

First downs: 17-4, Ravens
Total yards: 255-63, Ravens
Offensive plays: 44-17, Ravens
In a game with Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, Ja'Marr Chase, Odell Beckham Jr., Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews and Zay Flowers, Nelson Agholor leads all receivers with 38 yards at halftime.
— Baltimore Beatdown (@BmoreBeatdown) September 17, 2023
Biggest plus for Ravens in that half is their OL, which is missing two starters, held up well. Jackson had some pressure, but overall, he had time to make plays. He wasn't sacked and there were holes on the ground.
— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) September 17, 2023
Impressive first half by a #Ravens defense that's without two starters in secondary (Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Williams).

3rd Quarter: Geno intercepts, Zay shines, Andrews scores, Tee answers back
Halftime thoughts:
— Sarah Ellison (@sgellison) September 17, 2023
* Refs were seen too much. Had a series of weak calls with make-up calls to follow.
* Ravens dominated the time of possession, but special teams is keeping the Bengals alive.
* Lamar Jackson was once again an absolute magician. He'll be unstoppable, however,…
Ronald Darby's starting the second half at CB outside Brandon Stephens.

The crazy thing about Geno Stone's pick is that he's in for Marcus Williams, who has been the biggest interception threat for the Ravens defense. That's what was supposed to be the biggest loss with Williams. But Geno is showing he can produce turnovers too.

It's 20-10 Ravens at the 8:39 mark of third quarter.
Odafe Oweh hasn't played a defensive snap since about the 13-minute mark of this quarter. His helmet's off on the sideline.
— Jonas Shaffer (@jonas_shaffer) September 17, 2023
I haven't seen much of Odafe Oweh at all in this half. Ravens mostly going with Jadeveon Clowney and David Ojabo while mixing in Tavius Robinson. Oweh was on the field early in the third quarter, but haven't seen him much since.
— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) September 17, 2023
Joe Burrow hits Tee Higgins for a 3-yard TD and Bengals immediately answer Ravens TD. Higgins got position on Ar'Darius Washington.
— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) September 17, 2023
It's 20-17 at the 2:34 mark fo the third quarter. Other than the mistake on INT, Burrow has found his rhythm this half. That was a 13-play drive.

Touchdown, Ravens. That was a dot from Lamar Jackson. Nelson Agholor has his first Ravens TD on a 15-yard fade.
— Jonas Shaffer (@jonas_shaffer) September 17, 2023
Ravens 27, Bengals 17 with 11:38 left.
Nelson Agholor and Lamar Jackson hook up for a 17-yard TD pass on 3rd-and-5. Really nice throw and catch and Ravens answer Bengals TD.
— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) September 17, 2023
It's 27-17 with 11:38 remaining. Agholor has 5 catches for 63 yards and a TD. Ravens defense need a stop.
Lamar Jackson delivers his 2nd TD pass of the season, a nicely placed ball to Nelson Agholor in the end zone.
— Jamison Hensley (@jamisonhensley) September 17, 2023
That 17-yard TD pass extends Baltimore's lead to 27-17 with 11:38 left in 4Q.
The short-handed Ravens have certainly been resilient today.
Daryl Worley's in for maybe his first defensive action of the game.
— Jonas Shaffer (@jonas_shaffer) September 17, 2023
Patrick Queen's a little bit banged up after that first-down play.
Both Mustipher and Mekari deserve some flowers today.
— Cole Jackson (@ColeJacksonFB) September 17, 2023
They're doing a lot to help Mustipher inside (pass pro pulls, doubles), but Mekari has been on an island most of the game and has done DAMN well.
Most versatile OL off the bench in the league and that's why you pay him!
Jadeveon Clowney has been such a disruptor for the Ravens to start the season
— Kevin Oestreicher (@koestreicher34) September 17, 2023
Great signing by Eric DeCosta and company
Ravens pass rush is getting dialed up now in the fourth quarter. Jadeveon Clowney with a big hit that forces an incompletion.
— Ryan Mink (@ryanmink) September 17, 2023
Clowney has been TERRORIZING in the second half.
— Cole Jackson (@ColeJacksonFB) September 17, 2023
Hell of a game from him! #RavensFlock
Ravens defensive players all have their hands on their hips. Barely trying to hold on here.
— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) September 17, 2023
Burrow hits Higgins for a 4-yard TD pass. The Ravens lead is cut to 27-24. There's 3:28 left so Jackson and the Ravens are going to need to extend a drive.

Ravens beat Bengals, 27-24, at Paycor Stadium, snapping a three-game losing streak in Cincy despite widespread injuries.
But the big guy, Lamar Jackson, was back.
Having a healthy Lamar Jackson certainly makes difference for Ravens against Bengals. Gus Edwards picks up 5 yards on 3rd-and-1 and Ravens will take a knee. They win, 27-24, to improve to 2-0.
— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) September 17, 2023
