Everything finally came together for the Ravens after a tumultuous offseason that featured negotiating the largest contract extension in NFL history.

However, the Ravens got it done, inking Lamar Jackson to a record setting five year deal on 2023 NFL Draft Day, locking up the 2019 NFL MVP.

Jackson has battled injuries the last two seasons, and couldn't finish the year due to a knee injury despite the Ravens making the postseason and nearly shocking AFC North rivals Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card Round.

Now, with Jackson healthy and locked up long term, the Ravens figure to be a player in a crowded AFC once again. Not only did the Ravens secure its franchise quarterback, but it had a strong Draft as well that night, selecting Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers to give Jackson a weapon in first year offensive coordinator Todd Monken's offense. The team also used its next pick, a third rounder on Clemson linebacker Trenton Simpson.

Oddsmakers are impressed with the Ravens' moves over the past week or so, listing them at -130 to qualify for the postseason. While Baltimore is set to have its best team in years, it's worth noting that the team is in the far more competitive conference that now features Aaron Rodgers after he was traded to the New York Jets, among the likes of the Bills, Bengals, Chiefs, Chargers and Jaguars.

Don't sleep on the Ravens, though, who locked up its quarterback and has an exciting draft class.
