Ravens Super Bowl odds get boost with Odell Beckham Jr. Signing
Even with The Masters taking place on Easter Sunday, the NFL once again stole the headlines when it was announced Odell Beckham Jr. had signed with the Baltimore Ravens.
OBJ was arguably the best free agent left and the signing will certainly send shockwaves through the organization that will have more effects than just now having one of the more talented receivers in the NFL.
As is usually the case, the news has shifted the Super Bowl odds. Before the signing, the Ravens were sitting at +3500 to win the Super Bowl. Let's take a look at where they stand now.
Ravens Super Bowl odds
Adding OBJ to the roster has shifted the Raven's Super Bowl odds from +3500 to +2800. The pass catcher may not be worth the move in odds himself, but the signing may be the first step in fixing their relationship with their star quarterback, Lamar Jackson.
Jackson and the Ravens have had a tumultuous offseason, with Baltimore tagging him with a non exclusive franchise tag followed by the quarterback demanding a trade. Throughout his time with the Ravens, Lamar made it clear that he felt the team hadn't surprised him with any weapons.
Well now, if he does decide to come back, he certainly has a weapon.
Signing OBJ isn't worth a team moving from +3500 to +2800 on the odds list to win the Super Bowl, but signing OBJ and convincing Lamr Jackson to come back certainly is.
