The Baltimore Ravens are looking to hold on to the No. 1 seed in the AFC when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15 on Sunday Night Football.
Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence is dealing with an ankle injury, and the team has lost back-to-back games against AFC North opponents, losing to Jake Browning and Joe Flacco in their last two games.
That puts the Jaguars in a tough spot to earn a top seed in the AFC, and the team is a home underdog in this matchup with the Ravens.
One of the hardest things to do when betting is predicting a game’s final score, but I will attempt to do that for this Ravens-Jaguars matchup.
Using the latest odds, here’s my final score prediction for tonight’s primetime matchup:
Ravens vs. Jaguars odds, spread and total
Ravens score prediction
As road favorites this season, the Ravens are 2-2 against the spread, but they are winning those games by an average margin of 8.8 points.
That’s a good sign for them covering the spread against Jacksonville, as the team is a 3.5-point favorite.
The Jaguars are 0-2 against the spread as home underdogs this season, losing to the San Francisco 49ers badly in their last game as home dogs – 34-3.
I can’t trust this Jacksonville team, which has taken a step back as of late, to cover against a strong Baltimore team with Lawrence banged up.
Lamar Jackson and company should be able to move the ball fairly easily against a defense that has allowed the sixth most yards per play in the NFL this season.
I think the Ravens win by a touchdown and cover the spread in this game.
Final score prediction: Ravens 24, Jaguars 17
