Graham Gano: A Raven

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: No Comments |

The Ravens today signed the best undrafted free agent in this year’s class, kicker Graham Gano.  Having a thing for kickers, being a former one myself, I have watched him a lot and love the way he kicks.  Reminds me of Matt Stover with much better range.  Anyway, Carroll County Times did a great job with this article, so I’ll let you read it here.  I feel like kicker is one of the most important positions in the NFL, and we should know that, watching Stover win us games all these years.  Gano and Steve Hauschka could platoon, but I think that Gano will win out if that does happen.  Hauschka, the baby-faced kicker from NC State, has already proven that he can kick from long range with a 54 yard field goal against the Texans.  Even though I’d rather have Stover, Graham Gano should end up as a very good kicker down the line.

NOW, have you ever heard of Jose Martinez?  Do you want to hear more? (scroll down to all of the writing)

  1. [...] The undrafted free agent kicker,  who signed almost immediately after the draft, is one of my personal favorite college kickers.  He will be competing with Steve Hauschka for the starting job, and has a great leg. [...]
