FanSided iPhone App & Ravens News

Hey there knuckleheads, are you all aware that FanSided now has an iPhone app? You weren’t? Oh, well you are missing out on the action, my friend. Realtime Pro Football 09′ is a new app that gives live updates from NFL players, national sportswriters and local bloggers like me of status updates from their Twitter account. These are updated every minute, so I bet that if Chad Ochocinco tweets about going to Wal-Mart and not being asked for his autograph at all, even while wearing his jersey, you will be one of the first 25 people to hear about it.
The real pull on this app though, is the blogs and the team-specific coverage. FanSided provides all the NFL blogs, and if you go to the Baltimore Ravens under the “teams” tab, you can see players like Fabian Washington, Ray Rice and Lardarius Webb update their Twitter pages, and check out this blog. Ravens-related, Ray Lewis and (FINALLY!!!) Terrell Suggs were back on the field, shredding up the o-line. Samari Rolle was placed on the PUP list with his nagging, painful neck injury, and three cuts were made today. QB Drew Willy, WR Brandon Godfrey and WR Biren Ealy were cut, and now the team only has 4 QBs left (Flacco, Smith, Beck, Lemon). With these first receiver cuts, the pressure increases on Yamon Figurs as the receiver numbers start to drop and he falls towards the fringe.
