Cleo Lemon Cut

Cleo Lemon was cut today, lowering the roster number to 75.  The team will now move on with the season carrying only 3 quarterbacks on the roster, with Joe Flacco starting and Troy Smith and John Beck backing him up.  The team had 5 on Sunday, but rookie Drew Willy was cut yesterday.  Lemon was with the Ravens for his first training camp, in 2002, but was assigned to NFL Europe after camp.  He then followed now-Ravens OC Cam Cameron to San Diego, and Miami.  The undrafted QB out of Arkansas State was a very, very poor-man’s Steve McNair, with quick legs and also a respectable passing ability.  Coincidentally, his career started with the Ravens, his first start was against the Ravens, and his career may have finished with the Ravens as well with this news.

Special post tomorrow, the AFC Edition on why each NFL team sucks/will suck this year.  Look out for it.
