Ravens 53-Man Roster Projection

The Ravens’ roster will be announced today, so I’ll do my best to guess how it turns out. Today, after the roster is announced, I’ll post it and share my thoughts and observations. It’s a big day all around the NFL, and this roster projection is probably one of thousands you’ll find on the internet.
I feel that if I get all 53 picks right, I should win a yacht. Or something. I’m going to project the roster how I think the coaches will, putting all of my opinions aside.

How this will work is that I’ll break it down by position, telling you the number of players at each position. I’ll also inform you of the players that are suspended or on the PUP list, which means they don’t count against the roster limit. Asterisks (*) denote projected starters.

The following players do not count against roster limits because they are on the PUP list or are suspended:

- Sergio Kindle, LB (PUP)
- Matt Lawrence, RB (PUP)
- Ed Reed****, FS (PUP)
The reason for the asterisks next to Reed’s name is because it’s not official that he’ll be on the PUP list yet, just reported by Jason La Canfora. I’m not going to be all strict and official about it, so I’ll just put him with that group right now. As for Sergio Kindle, I know he’s still unsigned, but the Ravens still hold his rights so all is well with that. Other than Cary Williams, all the players on that PUP list won’t be seen until Week 7, because when being placed on the list, you have to miss six games.
When the roster’s finalized, I’ll have it in a nice organized list, and post my reactions. Enjoy the first Saturday of college football, everyone.
