Ravens Reverse Bad Half And Come Out With The Win 30-27

“Anything can happen on any given Sunday.” We’ve heard it time and time again and this week is no exception. The Baltimore Ravens carried there poor offensive performance from last week, back to Baltimore where they faced the Arizona Cardinals. The first half was a disaster as the Ravens’ offensive line fell apart and Joe Flacco struggled early. The defense allowed some uncharacteristic big plays and the usually stout special teams unit showcased poor tackling as the rookie Patrick Peterson took a punt to the house. The Ravens were able to add a field goal at the end of the half to bring the score to 24 – 6.

More after the jump…

After many boos from the crowd, the Ravens came out of halftime with a rejuvenated energy and scored 21 unanswered. The defense turned the switch on and sacked Kevin Kolb a total of 6 times. Flacco connected with Anquan Boldin several times who showed his athleticism on numerous acrobatic catches. The Ravens also got Ray Rice involved in the game again as he scored three touchdowns and rushed for 63 yards.

In the NFL, winning ugly counts just as much as any other win. It wasn’t the prettiest performance, but the Ravens now have some momentum as they travel to Pittsburgh next week to take on the Steelers.
