Ravens Fans Become Temporary 49ers Fans

The Baltimore Ravens really dug themselves into a hole last night. After being in the driver’s seat, they dropped a big loss that moves them from the 1st seed to the 5th seed. As a 1st seed, The Ravens would get a first round bye and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, something very crucial for a team that’s 4-4 on the road and undefeated at home. Now as a 5th seed, the Ravens don’t get a bye and will only get a home playoff game if they meet the 6th seed in the AFC Championship game.

Don’t lose all hope just yet. The Baltimore Ravens will become the two seed if the San Francisco 49ers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers tonight and if the Patriots drop another game, The Ravens will be back on top. So tonight, the Baltimore Ravens faithful will temporarily switch allegiance to the San Francisco 49ers.

Given the number of random people who just became Steelers fans last night, I don’t feel bad becoming a hard core 49ers fan for the time being. After all, the members of Steeler’s Nation hop on and off the band wagon all the time. Tonight, we can only hope that Jim Harbaugh is able to do what his older brother John was unable to. As Jack Harbaugh would say:  “Tonight, Play with an intensity unknown to mankind.” Go Niners!
