For the past five years, former NFL quarterback Ron “Jaws” Jaworski has been in the booth calling Monday Night Football games. However, 2012 will be a bit different. ESPN announced today that Jaworski will be leaving the booth and headed for the studio where he signed a 5 year extension to do expanded analysis.

"I am grateful for having the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of working on ‘Monday Night Football’ the past five seasons with Mike Tirico, Jon Gruden and so many other talented people behind the scenes who make the show so great, and I look forward to bringing my passion and knowledge of the game to more fans in more places than ever before on any and all football topics. – Ron Jaworski"

The duo of Jon Gruden and Mike Tirico will now call the games together on Monday night. Their debut will be on September 10th.
