Welcome To Draft Week

Draft Week is one of the best times of the year for Ravens fans. During the season you have to worry about dropped passes and missed FGs keeping you from the ultimate goal, but in the draft the only obstacle is a teams own lack of preparation (Cough **Bengals** Cough Cough). Lee Evans can keep the Ravens out of the Superbowl, but no one can stop them from winning the Draft.

This is one of my personal favorite weeks of the year, second only to Christmas (by a hair). The unknown of the draft, the anticipation of who your favorite team will take, what team will land you favorite prospects, the anxiety of the draft itself, wondering if the Raiders will do something stupid. The fun just never ends. This year, the fun will be even better because both ESPN and NFLN have agreed to no longer show video of prospects being called by teams before they are drafted (which basically kills all of the drama). With a record 26 prospects waiting to hear their names in the greenroom, this new agreement becomes even more important. I really hope that the analysts will also keep their mouths shut if they know something that the cameras arent showing.

This week i will be writing as many draft related posts as i can(hopefully at least 2 a day) leading up to my third and final mock draft the night before the draft (Wednesday). Try and keep up. I will be previewing the draft as a whole, how i expect the board to fall, looking a past draft trends and trying ever diligently to figure out what is going on in Ozzie Newsome’s head. It should be tons of fun.
