This will be my final mention of the current situation of former Ravens K Billy Cundiff…..Unless I feel like picking on him later.

The Redskins are on the verge of cutting Billy Cundiff in favor of freshly signed kicker Kai Forbath, a second year kicker who spent his rookie season on IR for the Cowboys.
Cundiff has been a massive failure in Washington and will be released after missing 4 of his six kicks in the past two games. History had suggested that Cundiff would struggle after his playoff miss last year. No kicker to ever miss a game winner in a championship or Super-Bowl game has ever lasted more than one more season with his team and has never converted more than 85% of his kicks the following season. Granted, that statistic is from an extremely small sample size, but still, it is pretty amazing.
Converse to Cundiff, Justin Tucker has been a revelation for the Ravens converting all but one of his kicks (a 47 yard attempt on a rainy windy night) including a game winner. Tucker is fresh off a game in which he accounted for all the Ravens points in a 9-3 victory over the Chiefs.
As a side note, if you get a chance hop over to Kai Forbaths Wikipedia page, it is pretty hilarious. Do it quickly though because if I had to guess I would assume Wikipedia moderators will be revising its content to reflect reality soon. My favorite part is that 33 NFL GMs offered to take him in the first round, but the owners were afraid Kai would steal their wives so they wouldn’t sign off on it. Its Good stuff.
