Today, the Ravens are playing for more than just bragging rights against the Steelers. They are trying to lock a playoff berth, they are trying to maybe finish a division race depending on what happens in San Diego today, and they are fighting to push the Steelers one step closer to elimination.

The Steelers are 6-5 and on a 2 game losing skid. a loss today would knock them down to .500 at 6-6 and mean the absolute best record they could finish with would be 10-6, it might not be enough to make the playoffs. The Steelers are in a race with the Bengals(6-5) and the Colts(7-4). Only two of the three will get in. The Colts have a one game lead and the Bengals have a win streak going. The Steelers are staring down the barrel of an 0-3 run and have a half dozen starters injured. One more loss might be the nail in the coffin. Especially if the Bengals win today.

As a Ravens fan I am torn. I want the bengals to lose quickly, one more loss and the Ravens take the division. If they lose today, I will be fairly happy. But if the Steelers lose and the Bengals win, I’ll probably still be pretty happy because I know that the Steelers will be on the very brink of elimination. How sweet would that be. The Ravens on a war path for a number 1 or 2 seed and the Steelers sitting at home watching the Ravens make a Superbowl run.

Lets make it so boys!
