Well, Jacoby Jones Reign as the Ravens no.2 WR is off to a rough start. Jacoby Has been placed on the NFI(non-football injury) list because he failed his conditioning test today. The Ravens have a series of timed interval sprint tests that all players must pass to be allowed to practice. Last year Courtney Upshaw was the most notable Raven to fail the test.

Really this isnt that big of a deal. as much as other members of the media will talk about it and say how bad it is, this will blow over by tomorrow afternoon. players fail these things all the time and at least 2-3 high profile players per year will get tripped up during the test. these failing times can come from a litany of different things. dehydration, lack of sleep, pulled a hammy, you get the point.

Jones isn’t the first player to ever fail one of these and he certainly wont be the last. He will have to re-take the test daily until he passes it and is cleared to play. I don’t see this lasting very long, Jacoby isn’t out of shape in general, but he might be out of football shape and struggling with the burst type physical output that the test demands.

Jones will re-take the test tomorrow and odds are he will pass it easily and this will be a moot point.
