With the recent acquisition of Jacksonville Jaguars OL Eugene Monroe, who primarily plays LT and was drafted 8th overall in the 2009 NFL Draft which featured QB Matthew Stafford, QB Mark Sanchez and also WR Darrius Heyward-Bay the Baltimore Ravens may very well indeed put up much larger fantasy numbers.

QB Joe Flacco hasn’t been your tip-top fantasy QB that some Ravens fans may have hoped for. Flacco hasn’t ever really been a top-tier fantasy player anyway because of the backfield he has always had with him. But with the addition of Eugene Monroe to a not so pleasing OL. Flacco and his fantasy numbers may start to look a lot better than years past. Monroe is just an OL that is middle of the road good, but his presence will definitely be felt in the passing game.

RB Ray Rice who is just recently off of missing a game due to a hip injury could also benefit very much from a new OL in the mix. And yes of course his fantasy numbers may possibly look better too. Monroe possesses a lot of run blocking skill that has been overlooked by many scouts and GM’s due to the team that has played for.

TE Dallas Clark who is reaching the end of his productive career will also benefit from a new OL, Clark as never really known to much for his skill of passing blocking and or run blocking. He has always been a guy who can give you 8-10 catches per game. And with added protection Flacco will be looking to hook up with Clark a lot more this year.

The Jaguars got back to late-round draft picks for Monroe. And it seems as if this trade will be a nice under the radar steal. Monroe has been rumored to be very happy that he was now apart of the defending Super Bowl Champions.
